After thirty-eight years of a wrestling with a crippling infirmity, Jesus confronts a peculiar man’s fears and commands him to rise, take, up thy bed, and walk! This command is also applicable to us today. Rise: The command to exercise faith in overcoming the imprisonment of your fears and the emancipation of your mind. Take: The command to exercise physical strength— strength that would be tested by your fear of failure and challenged by the pursuit of your destiny. Walk: The command to move forward, confronting the challenges of your past, and overcoming the obstacles of your circumstance.
Like overcomers, rise with a renewed sense of purpose to become the best you. Take hold of your faith with courage, and walk with conviction knowing that He who promised to be with you will walk with you into your destiny.
