Victory is often viewed as the act of defeating an enemy, opponent, or system in pursuit of a crown. For the overcomer, victory is the ability to overcome an obstacle in the pursuit of a goal. While achieving a gold medal, a coveted crown, or a clinching first place position is important, it is equally important to complete the race that you have set out to run. While society has conditioned us to think that winning requires being the first, the best, the strongest, the fastest, and the brightest, overcomers are victorious when they defy insurmountable odds in pursuit of their goals.

So don’t be daunted when you discover that you may not be the fastest person on the track, the smartest person in the room, or considered the best person at your craft. Keep pushing toward your purpose and keep striving toward your destiny.
